Higher education and agriculture were the topics of the Assembly last week. Several amendments to the laws were even submitted. And just when we thought that the MPs would propose that the clergies should not be allowed to interfere with the selection of teaching staff in theology studies, after a few words about the laws, they started talking on the free topic. The main goal was to explain what exactly happened when the representatives of the People’s Party came to the presidency seeking some sort of confrontation with the President. There were also attempts at humour and media criticism.
“[I’m talking about] ‘Nova’, a new tabloid that’s going to deal exclusively and uniquely, only with the attack on Aleksandar Vučić, and what proves me right, is the cover of the first issue. In the first issue of this newspaper, on the cover we have, of course, who else but Aleksandar Vučić, in the worst possible context. In addition to that cover, Mr. Speaker, on the first two pages, Aleksandar Vučić was mentioned 28 times in a negative context.”
“There’s an evil intention towards Serbia, towards President Vučić, to inflict as much damage as possible on Serbia, Vučić and the Government of Serbia. The basis of the attack, the facts – do not exist. Data – all made up. This is what the fake elite is doing today. That’s what Đilas is doing. That is what Vuk Jeremić is doing. They who ran out of roads, they can no longer put millions in their pockets.”
“We promote bullies in the media, which are under Dragan Đilas’s control. I’ll be direct. Did you see the other day on TV some wannabe bullies? President of the political party Vuk Jeremić. Should pupils watch the beating of the President in the presidency? Has it ever been done?
“When I think of the four of them who came to the presidency to threaten the President of the Republic, they are very dangerous. This reminds me, but only in number, of those plays in the Theatre ‘Puž’ – Four Pigs. It’s the same with them, everything except the content of that play, four pigs came and ran in all directions when a lion came out in front of them, little mice escaped.”
“In the hall he returned to factory settings all immortalised thugs, political hacks, thieves, traitors so they returned to the same boozer from which this lesson in physics started, to mourn the times when they could rip off the people of Serbia.”
“[Here’s a joke.] Jeremić is sitting in the fountain on Andrić’s wreath washing his feet. There comes a gatekeeper asking him what he’s doing. Jeremić says – I came to beat Vučić up. After a while, a policeman comes asking him what he’s doing. Jeremić says – I came to beat Vučić up. After a while, Vučić comes asking him what he’s doing? Jeremić remorsefully says – I’m cooling my legs and eating crap.”
All this happened on the International Day of Parliamentarism, which the parliamentarians did not even mention.
